Hey there, air fryer enthusiasts! Today we’re talking about the Nuwave Brio 7 in 1 air fryer, and I gotta tell ya – it’s got some issues. Now, before you get defensive, let’s just take a moment to acknowledge that not every kitchen appliance is perfect. In fact, I’d argue that it’s the flaws and imperfections that make for some of the most interesting and engaging conversations. Also, though this may sound like I’m against the capability of this airfryer to make healthy meals, lets be unbiased. Lets challenge MY OPINION to other buyers’ positive experience with it.
So, let’s dive in and explore what makes the Brio a bit of a mixed bag.
PROS
First off, in this Nuwave Air fryer Reviews, let’s talk about the good stuff.
The Brio boasts an impressive wide temperature range, ranging from a cool 50 degrees all the way up to 400°f. Plus, with five-degree increments, you’ve got precise control over the heat. That’s pretty nifty, huh? Not only that, but this air fryer also has 100 pre-programmed presets at your disposal. And if that’s not enough for ya, you can store an additional 50 memory slots to this digital cooking functions. Talk about being spoiled for choice! And the versatility of the Brio doesn’t stop there. You’ve got different modes to choose from: air fry, sear, grill, and warm.
So whether you’re in the mood for crispy fries or juicy burgers, this air fryer can handle it all. Plus, you’ve got the ability to adjust the wattage settings to get the perfect cooking experience. And if you’re cooking up a storm, you’ll appreciate the fact that the fry basket can be separated into three parts for convenience.
The Temperature Probe
Also the 7.25 quart appliance comes with a thermometer called the temperature probe. It can automatically turn off the device once food has reached its desired temperature.
So far, so good, right?
CONS
Is the Nuwave Brio air fryer easy to clean?
Well, here’s where things start to go a bit awry. The Brio has a mesh screen at the bottom of the secondary basket – and let me tell you, that thing is a nightmare to clean. And, unfortunately, this isn’t just a minor quibble. The mesh basket is where all the cooking happens, and if it’s clogged up with food gunk, things can go south pretty quickly.
Plus, the nonstick material of the basket is pretty ineffective, so you might find yourself scrubbing it with a sponge – which, by the way, tends to get ripped up in the process. Not exactly what you want to deal with after whipping up a tasty meal. And speaking of tasty meals, let’s talk about the actual cooking performance of the Brio.
Now, this is where things get a bit tricky. The Brio’s performance can vary significantly depending on what you’re cooking.
For example, sweet potato fries take longer to cook and never quite get as crispy as you’d like. And, unfortunately, the food tends to pick up the taste of the manufacturing scent, which can take away from the overall flavor.
Plus, the temperature accuracy of the Brio leaves a bit to be desired. Sure, it’s got a temperature probe – but what good is that when the temperature isn’t accurate to begin with? At 300 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature is actually 295 degrees Fahrenheit. And if you crank it up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, you’re actually dealing with 20 degrees hotter than what’s displayed. Sure, you can make adjustments, but it’s still a bit of a bummer when you’re trying to cook up a storm.

Our Verdict
So, what’s the verdict? Well, I hate to say it, but the Nuwave Brio 7.25 qt air fryer for me just doesn’t quite live up to expectations when it comes to temperature control and even cooking. Sure, it’s got some nifty features like a wide temperature range, probe, and basket divider, as well as 100 presets to navigate, but the flaws with the basket and temperature range are just too glaring to ignore.

Boy I have a lot to say about this, so please bear with me because I haven’t taken my Ritalin yet. Before I begin, I couldn’t find the link for your recommended fryer. This review was very well written and the videos are great (Note to self, learn, how to use videos). I have major concerns about the fryer as well. I’m speaking as an experienced Chef and the standard home owner.
To start off, hey! who doesn’t want a little Teflon in their food (I haven’t met a non stick pan yet that can hold up to daily wear and tear)? Now, how can they start any oven off at 50 degrees? Does it have a cooling unit? The standard room temperature is around 70 degrees, so how are they able to get the oven temperature down so low? Why start anything off at 50 degrees anyway? Aren’t they concerned about the safety zone? Those temperatures should be below 40 degrees. The chart only showed a small percentage of the 96 people actually tested the products, unless I’m reading it wrong. If so, then the chart is too difficult to understand.
Most fryers operate in the 1500 watt range and only require that you use a 15A breaker, 1800 watts is really pushing it, so you may need a 20A breaker to prevent the breaker from popping, most circuits carry more than one appliance. You could use a 15A breaker if it is designated for that one appliance. I hope the finished cooking alarm sounds off more than just a few beats or the food temperature will drop to the danger zone. I don’t think too many people will use the preheat function either, because we’re all of the “microwave generation” and we just want to throw the stuff in and cook it.
So. that’s a segue to the instruction manual, hopefully it’s easy to read and understand. Most men cooks, won’t take the time to read the instructions unless there are a lot of pictures, and colored ones to boot(cartoon characters help; Scooby Doo?) Just joking, but am I? Personally, I have the Emeril Lagasse Air Fryer (Yes, I’m that one sucker who actually bought one, Hey! I like Emeril) and I’m not crazy about it. I did attempt to read the instruction manual and found it a difficult read. The text on the buttons have since rubbed off and I find it difficult to figure out what they are.
I warned you in advance about this comment’s length. Except for the link that I couldn’t find, this review is tremendous, but I would love to have heard about the product that you represent. You don’t need to post this comment as it will give you the opportunity to rectify your review. If I’m wrong about all this then reach out to me and I WILL RECTIFY this and rewrite it. Good luck in your journey, I hope my reviews are as professional as yours are.
Respectfully,
Alan aka AbstractAlan.

No worries. I will still post your comment. People need to read other people’s important opinions and warnings. No need to rewrite it. It’s perfect =) Yeah… 1800 watts is a lot but I am sure it is designed to not harm your electric breakers. I have my cosori pro 2 and its max wattage is 1700. So far, it hasn’t tripped my breaker.
You have very good observation. Hmm about the chart, we randomly picked 96 people from amazon reviews that are considered safe enough to be legit users.

Thank you for your detailed review! I already have an air fryer but it’s sort of old and I could use a new one! Im definitely going to look into the NuWave Brio 7.5 qt! The fact that the temperature can be adjusted by 5 degree increments really gives control over how the food is cooked. Although it seems difficult to clean, which air fryer isn’t? This air fryer is at the top of my list now! Thanks again!

About this product, I like the features that you can increment the temperature by 5 degrees, also most of the air fryers has a mesh basket may it be the basket type or the oven type air fryer. I have an old oven type air fryer that is partially working ,its working good but lack the features that i wanted. I would keep this in mind because of its safe features.

I’m glad to hear that you’re interested in the Nuwave Brio 7.25 qt Air Fryer! It does offer the convenient feature of being able to increment the temperature by 5 degrees, which allows for more precise cooking. As for the mesh basket, it is a common design in many air fryers, including the Nuwave Brio. However, it’s important to note that some users have found the mesh basket of the Brio to be difficult to clean. Additionally, the nonstick material of the basket may not be as effective as desired, which could require some extra scrubbing. Nonetheless, the Brio does come with a temperature probe that can automatically turn off the device once food has reached its desired temperature, which adds to its safety features. However, the concerns about cleaning difficulties and the effectiveness of the nonstick basket resonate with everyday issues in many modern cooking appliances. It’s a reminder that while technological advancements bring convenience, they also come with their own set of maintenance challenges
